Quest types

Story Quests

Story Quests rebuild Mistria, open locations, and unlock useful mechanics. Prioritize them when they block a major system such as the mines, a shop improvement, The Mill, the Saturday Market, or later full-release progression.

Request Board jobs

The Request Board stands in southeast Mistria between the General Store and The Mill. Requests are useful for Renown, rewards, and relationships, but you can keep multiple quests active and choose the ones that overlap today’s route.

Crown Requests

Crown Requests are larger progression jobs introduced after reaching their town-rank threshold. They reward more Renown than ordinary requests and should be read carefully because the required action may be shipping, donating, producing a category of item, or speaking to a named character.

Festival and relationship quests

Some objectives belong to calendar events or character progression. Treat the date, prior heart events, story completion, and letters as prerequisites rather than assuming the quest is broken when it does not appear immediately.

Stillwell Missions

The 1.0 release adds the Stillwell Mission Board. This is full-release progression, so an Early Access quest list cannot serve as a complete checklist.

Accept and track work

1. Check the Request Board and mailbox during a normal town route.
2. Open the Journal’s Quests tab to read the complete objective and current progress.
3. Identify the giver, prerequisite, requested item or action, and turn-in method.
4. Move reserved materials into a clearly labeled quest chest.
5. Complete tasks that overlap with today’s season, weather, location, or production plan.

Turn-in methods

Donation Box

When the objective names a Donation Box, place the requested items there. Do not ship them or hand them to the character unless the quest explicitly says to do so.

Speak to a character

Some quests finish through dialogue. Carry the requested items if required, find the named character, and speak to them rather than searching for a container.

Shipping or production

Broader requests may track items shipped or categories produced. Read the current quest text instead of relying on a remembered older version; patch notes have corrected request wording and accepted-item rules in the past.

Town Rank and Renown

Renown increases through museum donations, shipping, and quest completion. Rank rewards are collected from the chest beside the Request Board. The 1.0 release raises the progression ceiling to Town Renown 100 and adds the Mistril Town Rank event, superseding older references that listed Diamond at 95 as the maximum.

Priority order

Do now

• Story Quests blocking a location, shop, station, or repair.
• Seasonal requests when you already have the item or the remaining season is short.
• Objectives that overlap with current farming, fishing, mining, cooking, or crafting plans.

Save for later

• Requests that consume scarce upgrade materials.
• Tasks requiring a location or production station you have not unlocked.
• Nonseasonal objectives that would derail a planned weather-limited catch or event day.

When progression appears stuck

Re-read the Journal

Confirm the exact item category, quantity, quality, and completion action. Similar objects may not satisfy the same request.

Check mail and the Request Board

The next step may arrive through a letter or a new board posting rather than beginning automatically at the prior location.

Raise Renown and finish earlier repairs

Town upgrades often depend on both a Renown threshold and completion of previous repair lines. Continue donations, shipping, and ordinary requests if no story objective is active.

Verify the current version

The 1.0.1 hotfix corrected Crown Request text and several Journal or Town Rank issues. If behavior differs from a guide, update the game before rebuilding your route around a possible bug.

Full-release progression boundary

Version 1.0 completes the Town Repair Questline and adds later objectives around the Saturday Market Plaza, Bell Tower, museum completion, Stillwell Missions, and the Mistril rank. This page keeps those outcomes at overview level so players can plan without exposing the story resolution.
